Inner Sun
Full Moon Journey with Himalayan Breathwork & Kriya
This is your invitation to breathe, move and meditate with the current of the sun within and without, to purify and awaken energy, expand consciousness, and rest in radiance.
We will be working with practices to support us in aligning our inner work with the seasonal shift as we begin to feel the summer sun here in the southern hemisphere.
Sattva Himalayan Breathwork & Kriya is a system of transformational practices from the Yog-Vedantic Tradition and are a combination of Pranayama (yogic breathing), Kriya (the Yoga of energy), mantra (sound vibration), mudra, (hand positions to focus energy) asana (postures), embodied movement and wisdom.
Before being guided through the journey, there will be a brief contextual talk offering insights into the philosophy and tradition behind these sacred technologies. Before completion there will be space for quiet reflection, chats, tea and light refreshments to ground and integrate the process.
Please bring a water bottle, a journal or pen and paper, and wear layered clothing enabling you to move freely and be warm.
This practice is suitable for beginners and those with more experience of conscious breath and embodied movement practices.
It is my intention to create as safe and inclusive a space as possible for all. In order that I can best support you, if you have or are currently experiencing any particular needs, medical or otherwise that you would like to let me know about before the practice, please reach out in an email to me.
Email elizabeth@elizabethryan.com.au with any questions. I look forward to seeing you there!
What is Sattva Himalayan Breathwork & Kriya?
Sattva Himalayan Breathwork and Kriya is a vast system of practices to support the evolution, growth and transformation of our beings along the path of life. With an integrated and holistic approach rooted in the Himalayan Yog Vedantic tradition, I was initiated into this particular system by Cass and Marcus Hamill of The Sattva Life with the blessing of Anand Mehrota, the founder of Sattva Academy, Rishikesh.
Being integrative, the practices are a combination of wisdom, embodied movement, breath, asana, meditation, mantras, mudras and stillness. Each individual practice has a particular physicality, focus and energy and can be dynamic and ecstatic through to subtle, gentle, quiet and meditative. They can be practiced individually but are more often woven together with an intention. This intention can be supportive of an infinite number of things including cultivating awareness, stabilising the nervous system, enhancing creativity, awakening and vitalising, letting go and purifying, deepening your access to stillness, inspiring and transcending.
Breathwork is the art and science of conscious breathing and Sattva Himalayan Breathwork is a system derived from the ancient Tantric and Kundalini Traditions of the Himalayas. These practices work on many levels of the mind /body system and can have a multitude of affects and health and wellbeing benefits from calming, balancing and enlivening through to supporting the expansion of consciousness.
Kriya is ‘action that leads us to evolution, expansion and liberation’ and is a practice and sacred technology referred to as the Yoga of energy. Kriyas can be a combination of breathwork or pranayama, have specific intentions and visualisations, a focus of awareness, can involve mantras, mudras and particular repetitive body movements. Practicing Kriya is a potent way to fast track your evolution and growth on all levels of being.
Sattva – is a quality of balance, clarity, goodness, purity, serenity and positivity.
With thanks and gratitude to my teachers Cass & Marcus Hamill and to Anand Mehrotra.

Testimonials
Elizabeth sets the tone beautifully, sharing her in-depth knowledge and preparing us for the practice. I instantly felt relaxed and at ease and was able to fully enjoy the experience of each practice and ‘letting go’. The space is beautiful with the ability to feel part of the bush land. I look forward to attending more sessions.
Ally (Bundanoon)
Elizabeth is gifted in this role, having spent much of her life devoted to this calling. She guided us through our internal kaleidoscope, gently and lovingly. With breath, movement and guided visualisation, to a deep restful place that has been nourishing me ever since.
Rebecca (New Zealand)
Elizabeth Ryan is an extraordinary woman, mother and teacher. Her compassion and support is invaluable for those seeking her wonderful guidance when it comes to living (and being) well. Elizabeth meticulously creates engaging content and delivers it’s magic in the most charming of ways bringing great joy to the participants in her classes. One quickly feels at ease around Elizabeth and I think this is because she is approachable, she brings a touch of humour to the group as a whole and has the ability to quickly connect one on one with an individual who shows up in need of a little personalised attention. This care for those she holds is a rare and beautiful gift.
Kate – (Sydney)
As a mother I feel seen and heard by Elizabeth, her intuition and guidance always so supportive and practically helpful in the moment. I have learned many techniques that I draw upon daily, that help me be the mother I wish to be for my children. I completed my Reiki 1 and 2 in private sessions with Elizabeth, and felt so supported by her to practice this healing as a mother. Any offering by Elizabeth will be a sacred space for connection and growth, and I highly recommend any of her classes and sessions.
Talulah Gough – (Byron Bay)
Elizabeth invites everyone into the most beautiful meditation practice which is layered, calm and meaningful. Taking a moment in my busy life to pause and focus has been both uplifting and grounding for me.
Amy – (Sydney)
While completing meditation classes with Elizabeth I have felt my stress levels decrease. My reactions to stressful things that arose during everyday life as a mother became so much easier to be calm, understanding and in the moment.
Susi – (Melbourne)
Elizabeth is extremely gifted at communicating difficult concepts about mindfulness and I look forward so much to her talks and guided meditations. She is warm, approachable and supportive.
